If students are unable to attend training sessions, they must hand in the following documents to the teacher-in-charge on the day of absence or the following training session;
Medical Certificate or
Evidence of Official School Activity
Under special circumstances, permission to be absent from training can be sought from the teacher-in-charge and can only be granted on a case-by-case basis.
*Unofficial Training S.O.P
Unofficial training conducted by various
coaches:
Students must ensure parents contact coaches directly if they would like to check if
such sessions are taking place.
These trainings are additional to the 3
times per week but not compulsory or sanctioned by SJI Athletics
CCA or SJI.
Unofficial trainings are at the convenience of the coaches in
terms of venue and time. Boys who want to attend on their own to join in
are to seek consent from parents themselves and NO consent form will be
issued.
These trainings are additional OPTIONS on top of official training sessions and may be subject to changes. The fluid nature of the sessions assume students who attend on their own accord are ready to take on the responsibility of their own training.
Parents must be agreeable and must be informed that these trainings are unofficial if their child would want to attend these sessions on their own accord. This is considered a student/parent initiated activity, not in control by SJI Athletics CCA or SJI. Extra training provided is out of goodwill of the coaches.
